About Us

Since April 2023, we have been building the non-profit organization momentum to promote pluralistic debates. Especially in times of growing populism and fake news, we are convinced that critical and inclusive reporting on current issues is needed for a healthy democracy. Our team therefore supports the participation of democratic actors in public discourse.

Christopher studied politics and philosophy in Heidelberg und Granada. Before momentum he worked in a think tank on the social and ecological transformation of society, and as a scientific assistant in the german federal parliament.

Matthias’ job is pitching & booking. He studied philosophy and literature, during which he worked as a journalist. After his university’s radio station he wrote and produced for Süddeutsche Zeitung, Deutschlandfunk Nova and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.

We are financed by ECF and GFNE. Our topics, editorial decisions and the selection of our experts are independent of our funders. We also have no financial relationship with the experts and speakers we provide.
